Forge of Empires Tips & Guide: As a big fan of Age of Empire, Elvenar or Total War sagas, I was one of the first to try the famous online strategy game Forge of empires and since then this game has become a real addiction for me.
Forge of Empires is a free browser-based strategy game which allows players to create and develop a city since the Stone Age and over the centuries. Players can create a vast empire through military campaigns and skillful dealings.

- Plan, productions take time! So get ahead and don't forget to put into production before you go! Make sure that you never have any moon over your buildings, otherwise you will lose the opportunity to save time.
- Spend your forge points, because once the limit is reached (10), you won't earn any more!
- If you run out of space in the skill tree, go invest in a large monument of your neighbors, it will always be useful and completely free.
- Use your bonus production resources (earned on the map), and exchange them to benefit from other resources via the market (FOR MORE INFO SEE THE MAP AND MARKET CHAPTER or even Building and construction> production buildings).
- Get all possible expansions, this is the only way to progress quickly by following a simple pattern: more space = construction of residential buildings = increase in the number of available inhabitants = construction of commodity and production buildings.
- While keeping a place for everything; don't just place houses, you won't move forward. Create districts of fair surface area and give them a function, for example residential district, merchandise district, etc.
- Don't forget to collect your coins (town hall as well as dwellings), otherwise the production cycle will not be restarted.

How to move quickly?
In management games, gathering resources is one of the most mundane things you need to do. In FoE we will indeed ask you to collect coins, goods and other things useful for the development of your city. If you want to improve your city, you will have to go through it.
To begin with, you will have to build houses, because they will be used to collect coins, that is to say the most used exchange currency in the game. They will allow you to improve your buildings, train your soldiers and produce resources. Production buildings allow you to produce resources and military buildings to hire soldiers.
What's the fastest way to get Forge Points in Forge of Empires?
Forge Points can be earned by completing quests. Some quests have forge points as a reward, while others have a random reward with a chance to get forge points (eg recurring quests). Quests reward packs of Forge Points. Daily challenges also have a chance to reward Smithing Points.

Maximize the production of goods
In Forge of Empire, goods are everything. To earn it you must build production buildings starting with the "hunting lodge". The latter quickly becomes obsolete, so it will have to be replaced by a "pottery" then by a "forge". In the end, to have a regular production you will need to own two pottery, three forges and a fruit farm. In the Iron Age, add goat breeding by doing the research "cattle breeding".
For more efficiency, be careful to always have productions in progress, while you are connected, favor fast productions of 5 or 15 minutes and when you have to leave the game, think of launching long productions of 8 hours or more.
How to expand your Forge of Empire army?
You should know that there are 2 schools to train your army, depending on the military buildings you have:
- The first technique is to construct the 5 buildings and you will then have all the units. You will have the choice to compose your army before each subsequent battle, which is favorable.
- The second technique is to create a versatile army that will be adapted to all situations, that is to say: 4 light melee units and 4 short range units. You will only need 2 buildings that you can build in greater numbers.
It will take heavy melee units to resist the attack for long. Then this can be supplemented with short range units. For example, 4 fast units, 2 heavy units, 2 short range units can make a good army.
What is FOE's best GB building?
TOP PRIORITY Here are the GBs that every big city should welcome, as quickly as possible:
- Castel del Monte. Crank it up to 10 and don't look back… fighters, crank it up even higher at your convenience.
- Arc. The first GB you should bring to 80. It may take a while but you won't regret it.
- Blue galaxy. Another one to be maximized without a doubt. Especially with the ton of interesting special buildings we've had recently.
- Himeji Castle. The second GB that you should be maximizing ASAP. Even for you, trader. I guess you have to fight now.
USEFUL They'll make your life easier too, take them when you can, okay?
- Alcatraz. Never worry about happiness again and get free troops. Yes, even for the trader who likes to fight more than he wants to admit.
- Chateau Frontenac. If you are an RQ Reaper, you need to maximize it ASAP. If you're not, don't… but buy it, take care of it and it will pay you back.
- Cape Canaveral. A healthy, steady, and necessary amount of FP to complete any ongoing private trades you may have. Maximize it pretty quickly.
- The Arctic Orangery and the Kraken will take the battlefield for a walk in the park. And they donate PCs. Trader, I am your father. Join the fighting side of the force. These are the GB you are looking for. Get at least one of them and crank it up to 10.
- Temple of the relics. Get a few levels, possibly up to 10 or more if you're bored.
Keep the streets to a minimum
In Forge of Empires, one of the most often overlooked tips is to build as few streets as possible. Not only do streets require resources to be constructed, but they can also prevent the construction of other buildings. By reducing the streets to a minimum, we are also able to build more cultural buildings that increase the happiness of cities and do not need to be built next to the streets.
No decorations and minimize small buildings
To allow our city to gain the best possible advantage, small buildings and decorations must be eliminated or, at the very least, kept to a minimum. Cultural buildings give us a much better advantage in keeping our people's happiness at a high level (and above 120%). So remove all of these types of decorations, or prevent them from being built, from the start:
- First, click on the Build button in the left interface and then on the Sell button.
- Sell all of your memorials, pillars, and obelisks.
- Don't forget to sell your trees!
- Now, with the space we need so much, we can build cultural buildings by clicking on the build button then cultural buildings:

Pay attention to your forge points
Forge Points are probably the most essential part of the FOE game. These points are mainly used for research which allows you to unlock more buildings and evolve into a new era. However, the problem is that you only have a limited number of Forge Points to consume.
The forge point bar only displays a maximum of 10 forge points (the limit will eventually increase). Once a point is consumed, it will automatically recharge after an hour. Therefore, if you have consumed all of your available Forge Points, you will literally have to wait 10 hours to get them back.
For this reason, it is always important to pay attention to your forge points and learn how to use them wisely. Sometimes it's more important to stick with what your main quest dictates. When doing research, be sure to spend your Forge Points on the right tech.
Be aware that there are three main ways to earn Forge Points. First, the points you automatically earn per hour. The second is the purchase of an additional point using coins (virtual currency that you earn by collecting taxes on residential buildings). The third source is the purchase of an additional forge point thanks to diamonds (premium currency).
Treasure hunt mini-game
As soon as you have developed the fruit farm, a mini-game will be activated: the treasure hunt! This is a great deal for those who gamble regularly. If you are able to access your computer multiple times throughout the day, you can receive serious rewards like Blueprints, Unattached Units, and Forge Points. It is absolutely worth it!
Collect resources with one click for rapid expansion
It is advisable to collect your parts and supplies regularly, and you can do it with just one click! For this reason, it would be useful to place all of your residential buildings next to each other.
Now, once the parts are available, click and hold the mouse button. Now go over all buildings containing coins to collect them.
Follow the ranking of guilds and servers
Finally, it is advisable to consult from time to time the general ranking of FOE servers and guilds. Although this is a relatively difficult task given that the servers did not start on the same date, that a strong guild in the past can be neglected today and concerning the servers, difficult to know which ones are the most dynamic and played etc. However you can follow the general progress of the best servers via the official forum to get a general idea.
