Synopsis and summary
Desperate Housewives is an American drama series created by Marc Cherry in 2004. The series is broadcast in the United States on the ABC channel and in France on M6 and Canal +. The series takes place in the residential area of Wisteria Lane in the fictional town of Fairview where the four heroines live. Throughout the series, we follow the intrigues of these women through the eyes of Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong), their friend who committed suicide in the first episode of the series. It is she who narrates each beginning and end of the episode.
Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross) and Gaby Solis (Eva Longoria) make up this quartet of heroines. They all have their own personalities and problems, but they know how to stick together and keep each other's secrets. A fifth woman completed the picture: Eddie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan), the man-eater the whole neighborhood feared, but she disappears from the series during season 5. Another desperate housewife makes her appearance in season 7 : Renee Perry (Vanessa Williams).
During each season, new neighbors join the neighborhood, all arriving with their share of mysteries and secrets.
