Ubisoft has announced its partnership with Netflix to develop a trio of mobile games.
The company states(opens in a new window) that it is working on "a sequel to Valiant Hearts, a new roguelite-inspired Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, and an original Assassin's Creed game" as part of this partnership and confirms that the Netflix subscribers will be able to play all three games at no additional cost.
Ubisoft says it has also partnered with Netflix to produce a live-action adaptation set in the Assassin's Creed universe. (The company is finally making an Assassin's Creed game with ninjas as well, but that's separate from its partnership with the video streaming platform.)
Netflix has partnered with mobile developers and bought three game studios as part of its push into mobile games. But with the exception of Riot Games, none of these companies are as big as Ubisoft, and this partnership shows Netflix's continued commitment to the gaming market.
