It's never good when your favorite show gets canceled, and Netflix has a growing reputation for being easy to fire when it comes to canceling shows. 2022 has already seen a number of high-profile cancellations on Netflix, and we're here to list them all from June 2022.
The numbers actually show that Netflix isn't as happy with the cancellation as some would say. In fact, they are in line with many of their competitors.
Twenty-twenty-one has been a big year of cancellations with titles like Jupiter's legacy, DamnedYes script and read all receiving the axe.
There are also many programs that end in 2022, such as Ozark, grace and frankie, dead to meYes Family reunion. We're not going to include them in this list because we think canceled and final seasons should be kept separate.
List of Netflix shows canceled in 2022
The chair
Canceled on Netflix: not clear
Officially, we have yet to hear about the future of The chair but based on most accounts and performance alone, we can safely assume that the program will not return.
The reason we don't think it's coming back is because the show's lead star, Sandra Oh, spoke to Variety in early 2022 saying she thinks it's "not happening."
adventure beast
Canceled on Netflix: June 2022
We're exclusively reporting that Adventure Beast is "unlikely" to return to Netflix according to one of the project's producers. You'd be forgiven if you hadn't even noticed the anime series being added to Netflix in late 2021, but despite the strong reviews, the series isn't expected to return.
midnight gospel
Canceled on Netflix: June 2022
Created by Pendleton Ward and Duncan Trussell, this experimental adult animated series takes you on a journey to mind-bending worlds within the show's simulator universe. It was wide open and, therefore, may not have reached the wider audience required to warrant a second season.
Standing
Canceled on Netflix: May 2022
the french series Standing comes from Fanny Herrero, best known for bringing the beloved to Netflix Call my agent! series. Unfortunately, despite plans for a second season, there won't be any on Netflix.
Cancellations of Netflix animations
Following Netflix's first quarter results, the cancellation of a number of anime projects has been announced. These include cancellations of projects that were already underway and some that were in development.

Canceled: April 2022
Premiering in October 2019, the series took over 2 years to hit Netflix and unfortunately didn't do well enough to warrant a third season.
spatial force
Canceled: April 2022
The writing may have been on the wall for spatial force even before the release of the second season on Netflix. The show faced huge budget cuts and moved to Vancouver in hopes of cutting costs.
Unfortunately, the show failed to meet Netflix's expectations based on the top 10 data, meaning it was taken offline at the end of April.
Very clever
Canceled: April 2022
Premiere in October 2021, Very clever struggled to break into the mainstream (a recurring problem for multi-camera sitcoms on Netflix) and was eventually announced to be canceled on April 27 with the news that Emily Osment would now be working full-time on young sheldon.

Canceled: April 2022
This Netflix co-production with Canal+ in France quietly arrived on Netflix in September 2021. Unfortunately, the show didn't have much of an impact even though it featured Elisabeth Shue.
The show was quietly canceled and if there hadn't been a response to an Instagram comment, we wouldn't even have known it was canceled.

Canceled: Uncertain: Reported April 2022
With two seasons on Netflix, the Australian-produced children's series centers on extraterrestrial reporters Ixbee, Pixbee and Squee.
We have learned that the series will not be returning for future episodes in early 2022. However, the series creators were keen to point out that the door is open for future episodes in the future.

Canceled: March 2022 (although probably canceled some time ago)
the mexican series diablero it ran for two seasons on Netflix with the most recent season landing in 2022. Unfortunately, we learned exclusively that it won't be returning for a third season on Netflix, thus canceling it.

Canceled: March 24
One of the first big debut shows on Netflix in 2022 was folder 81, a new horror series based on a podcast series of the same name.
Although the show topped Netflix's top 10, there is evidence that the drop in viewership between episodes could have been the reason for the show's untimely demise. Folder 81.
the babysitters club
Canceled: March 11
First launch in October 2020, the babysitters club came from Rachel Shukert and eventually ran for two seasons on Netflix, but won't return until a third.
In a statement to Deadline, Frank Smith of Walden Media said:
“We are extremely grateful for Netflix's vision and support in bringing the world of The Babysitters Club to life. While we are saddened that the series has come to an end, we look forward to future opportunities to share the legacy of Ann M Martin's beloved work with new audiences. »
No reason was given for the cancellation, but low viewership was likely the reason.

Canceled: 13 janvier
After perhaps defying the odds to qualify for a second season, kindly was not renewed for a third season with the cancellation announcement in early January 2022.
While it entered the top 10 on Netflix TV in the US, it only did so for 9 days before dropping out.
The comedy series told the story of three Latino cousins trying to maintain their grandfather's dream by keeping their taco show afloat in a rapidly changing neighborhood.

Canceled: 17 janvier
While the biggest question is why it was given a series in the first place, it turns out there wasn't enough of a viewership for Paris Hilton's cooking show to warrant a second season. .
Deadline says Netflix chose not to renew cook with paris for a second season despite the show appearing in the top 10 in Australia for 5 days and in Canada for just one day. Not in the US top 10.
The show featured the media personality preparing simple recipes in her lavish kitchen alongside celebrity guests including Kim Kardashian West, Nikki Glaser, Demi Lovato and Lele Pons.
The series has a 5.3 on IMDb with a 34 on Metacritic.
other life (Season 3)
Canceled: 21 February
It was never discussed whether, and only when it was confirmed that other life had been canceled by Netflix.
Presumably Netflix dropped the show in December 2021 thanks to a tweet from Katie Sackhoff that heavily hinted at the show's fate.
Despite his loyalty, it shouldn't be too surprising that other life it was cancelled. The series failed to impress fans and critics alike and simply didn't have a large enough audience for Netflix to pour more money into it.
