The most anticipated Netflix releases this week
Crown (Season 5)
Coming to Netflix: Monday
It's time again for a big change in Crownwhich returns this week after a two-year hiatus.
An entirely new cast will cover what was quite a tumultuous time for the Royals in the 1990s.
Critics poured in over the weekend, with many suggesting this series will, as expected, be its most controversial yet.
IndieWire's review suggests that the production design is stronger than ever, but that this season in particular is "affecting from a limited perspective".
my father's dragon (2022)
Coming to Netflix: Friday
One of the two major book adaptations coming to Netflix this week is My Father's Dragon, from the same animation studio that song of the sea, breadwinner, Yes Wolf walkers.
The film already debuted at the London Film Festival in late October 2022 and did well with critics. It currently has a 95% review rating on RottenTomatoes at the time of publication.
Here's what you can expect from the new animated feature featuring the voices of Gaten Matarazzo and Leighton Meester:

where the grasshoppers sing (2022)
Coming to Netflix: Saturday
Then, as we revealed late last week, the Sony Pictures film where the grasshoppers sing It's coming to Netflix as part of the first-window deal. It comes to Netflix 120 days after its theatrical debut earlier this year.
Directed by Olivia Newman, this film adapts Delia Owens' 2018 novel starring Daisy Edgar-Jones in the title role.
The story follows Kya, an abandoned girl who was raised alone into adulthood in the dangerous swamps of North Carolina.
