– Reviews News
Netflix's gaming initiative kicked off in November 2021, and as of August 2022, there are 26 mobile games to dive into, but which ones are worth it? We've picked our top 5 favorite mobile games.

1. sharp
Added to Netflix: June 2022
Netflix has plenty of simple games, but the one that has the charm to keep you coming back for more is sharp which comes from the creator of Very low.
The game is quite simple in practice, you swipe the screen to guide the little green guy around the platforms and beat the enemies.
Easy to play and hard to master is perhaps the best way to describe it. sharp, however, as it gets harder and harder and requires real skill to handle all the challenges that come your way. That said, it comes with a satisfying progression system that ultimately encourages short bursts of play and always makes you feel like you're moving forward and improving.
It's one of the highest-rated games on Netflix with a 4.2, with users also praising its addictive pick-up-and-play gameplay.
of them. crush remastered
Added to Netflix: March 2022
Originally published in the early 2010s, Breaka brick-busting game, it received and is receiving the remastered treatment throughout 2022 in a PC and console release slated for October 2022 and debuted on Netflix in early 2022.
The game has you destroying blocks with your paddle, but the uniqueness of this game is all the other mechanics the game unleashes on you as you progress, including the ability to control gravity, power-ups , etc.
The visuals continue to be particularly impressive (the team remastered them from scratch) and the music is just as good as when the original was released.
Our biggest gripe, unfortunately, is with the controls. Given how many things the game forces you to do at any given time, the controls can feel a little clunky. This is particularly evident when performing very precise movements that are not always easy on a touch screen.
3. wonder putt forever
Added to Netflix: November 2021
This is another game where simplicity is absolutely key as to why it grows so quickly. We all know miniature golf, right? Get the ball into the cup in as few moves as possible. That's the premise here, but the game has a lot more to offer, making it an attractive download.
The environments are easily the best thing about the game. One minute you're playing in a circus arena, another in an underwater station, another in a zoo, and another in a swimming pool. Each location presents its own set of challenges, but more importantly, most are visually beautiful.
The controls are straightforward, and given the game's progression system, it's easy to pick up and play when you've got a few minutes down.
Four. in the gap
Added to Netflix: July 2022
One of the many ports of mobile PC games exclusively for Netflix is in the gap, which is by far one of the deepest games in their current lineup. The premise is simple from the start: you control a team of robots trying to save the world from invaders in a turn-based strategy format.
We're happy to report that it's been gracefully ported to mobile while retaining the same visual style that made it so appealing in the first place. The controls are also well-made and intuitive despite having plenty of different options at every turn.
Additionally, the Netflix version of the game comes with content not available elsewhere.
While I still suggest playing this on PC on mobile, if you're looking for an in-depth strategy game, then in the gap it's for you.
5. extreme asphalt
Added to Netflix: December 2021
If you feel like passing your mobile device at the door, extreme asphalt is definitely the game to do it.
The old runner in 3D presents excellent images for your mobile device. The game lets you charge through canyons, race down dunes, and outrun your opponents in an off-road racing experience like no other.
As you may know, Netflix made this game exclusive to its lineup after it started life on Google Play and iOS.
The game is also a great example of the pros and cons of Netflix's current vision of gaming. Yes, there are no ads or microtransactions, but on the other hand, that means some of the progression in the game feels archaic, given that they had to redesign many old systems outside of the Game.
Despite that, it's a great runner and ultimately improved by Netflix's gaming model.
