Netflix knows what it's doing, which is why it keeps betting on "made in Korea" stories. And it is that thanks to the absolute originality of "Squid Games" or the vertigo of "All of Us are Dead", every day more people join the fans of the so-called k-dramas.
For this reason, the American platform has a solid offer of Korean series and films. Action, drama, adventure, romance, mystery. These productions do not fail to explore genres and plots and appeal to diverse audiences.
Below, however, we present a selection of some very popular productions on Netflix, but not as popular as those mentioned above. Here, love and friendship are the stars. Lights, popcorn, action!

“Navillera”
This k-drama debuted on Netflix in 2021. It's a story of second chances, waiting dreams, musings on life's purpose, and love for ballet. Like the previous one, it is based on a webtoon of the same name, inspired by the poem "The Dance of a Nun", by Korean Cho Chi Hun; and in the work "The Butterfly of the Stars", by Frenchman Bernard Werber.
It tells the story of Chae Rok (Song Kang), a 23-year-old ballet dancer who has yet to shine in the dance world for various reasons; and Deok Chul (Park In Hwan), a 70-year-old man who loves ballet. As a child, he wanted to be a dancer, but his family opposed it due to prejudices about the dance world. Chae Rok, who seems to have lost her way, meets Deok Chul and becomes his ballet teacher. Sensitive and well made, it is a jewel of the catalog. 12 episodes.
“Love is like chachacha”
The story of this fiction, which topped Netflix's global chart for several weeks, follows the relaxed, simple and fun life of Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Mina), a perfectionist dentist who moves to a small rural town ( Gongjin), after losing his job in Seoul.
There, he meets Hong Du Sik (Kim Seon Ho), a young man who works literally anything: from fisherman to electrician, waiter, clerk or real estate salesman, and who is the soul of the city. There is an immediate chemistry between the two, although they are poles apart and despise each other.
Featured by Variety as one of the most uplifting series, it is a light, tender and creative k-drama. Besides that, it has a perfect balance between comedy and drama. 16 episodes.
"It's good not to be good"
This production was quite a media event in South Korea. It's a romantic drama with fantasy story overtones that blends comedy, drama, and intrigue, also showcasing some animated and even musical sequences.
Beyond the expected romantic plot, this is a series that explores mental health issues, especially those that are considered invisible because they always go unnoticed.
The plot highlights the intersecting lives of Kim Soo-in (Seo Ye-ji), a popular writer of children's books; and Moon Woo-jin (Kim Soo-hyun), a selfless psychiatric assistant. They defy their destiny and fall in love against all odds, which sets the stage for their emotional healing. There are 16 episodes.
"Because this is my first life"
