Netflix has teamed up with renowned and sometimes controversial professor Dr. Ibram X. Kendi to produce two documentaries titled Sealed based on his two bestsellers titled Stamped from the start Yes Stamped: Racism, Antiracism and You.
Both projects will be directed by the Emmy Award winner roger ross williams (The Files of Innocence, The Apollo, Life, Animated, Music of Prudence) through his production company One Story Up. They will be produced by NAACP Image Award winner Mara Brock Akil (Brides, The Game, Being Mary Jane). Dr. Kendi will also serve as executive producer.
Dr Kendi commented in a statement:

Both projects were announced alongside an animated series aimed at young children titled anti-racist babybut Netflix canceled it along with many other animation projects as part of its content reassessment specifically in its animation department.
Who is Dr. Ibram X. Kendi
Dr. Ibram X. Kendi is one of America's foremost historians and leading anti-racist scholars. He is the Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Humanities at Boston University and founding director of the BU Center for Anti-Racist Research. He is a contributing writer for The Atlantic and a racial justice contributor for CBS News. Dr. Kendi is also a 2020-2021 Frances B. Cashin Fellow at Harvard University's Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study.
Dr. Kendi is the author of numerous books, including “Seal from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America,” which won the National Book Award for Non-Fiction, making him the award’s youngest recipient. . “Seal from the Beginning” was a New York Times bestseller, National Book Critics Circle Award finalist, and nominee for an NAACP Image Award.
