Seen briefly at the start of the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase for 2022, it looks like our beloved Wreckfest demo derby pilot will officially go mobile before the end of this year.
We only got a brief snippet of the captured moving footage, but the clip provided enough to know that the title will be releasing on iOS and Android devices in the fall of 2022.
Recently, Wreckfest went portable with the title releasing for Nintendo Switch in June. Now it looks like the popular crash-em-up game will fit in your pocket, even more portable than before.
The graphics don't look... great... but I mean, they've taken a title that looks absolutely stunning on a next-gen console or high-end PC and shrunk it down to fit in the palm of your hands. Of course, there may already be ways to take Wreckfest mobile, some approved methods like through the Google Stadia platform.
It will be a specific Android or Apple app though, it seems. Which means it will hopefully be optimized for the portable experience.
I say, as long as it works where I can make my way to the top and enjoy the wonder of the Deathloop all the same, the graphics will hopefully be secondary.
We will continue to monitor updates as they become available. Will you be downloading Wreckfest for your cell phone later this year? Let us know!
