MIAMI, Florida. - A supermarket worker has been arrested after being accused of placing his mobile phone near the toilet after escorting a woman to the bathroom, police say.
The incident happened Thursday when police were called to the Presidente supermarket at 8100 North Miami Ave.
A female victim told police she asked an employee, identified by police as 42-year-old Ranulfo Villeda, if she could use the store's private bathroom. He then escorted her to the back and said he had to get the boxes out of the toilet.
Investigators said Villeda placed his phone in a holey box, positioned it in front of the toilet seat, let it register, and then exited the toilet.
The victim told police that she entered the bathroom and "before removing any clothing," according to the arrest form, she saw a cell phone camera lens inside a box through a hole. When she removed the cell phone from inside the box, she came out of the bathroom, returned the phone to Villeda, and called the police.
