Tudum? Yes Tudu. Or maybe, to understand each other better, 'Tu-dum'. This is how, according to Netflix, it is written the sound that is heard at the beginning of each of its series or films. And that's what they decided to call their global fan event (i.e. digital), rolling out this year between different locations ((Korea, India, Europe and US, Latin America, Japan) and time slots. Here we will summarize the most interesting things learned during this ambitious deployment.
1. “The fabulous” could be a new “k-obsession”
As its protagonist explains Chae Soo Bin, the romantic drama "The Fabulous" will discuss "the dreams, friendships and romances of young people who work in the fashion industry". Some recent research suggests young people today aren't drawn to lofty fantasies, but who's soured on a bit of glitz, spotlight, color and fabulously complicated romance?
2. There will be a second season of “Heading to Hell”
The Director Young Sang-ho (“Train to Busan”) assured at the end of 2021 that there would only be a sequel in the form of “webtoon”. After a succession of reports to the contrary, there is now an official confirmation: the popular apocalyptic horror series, in which mysterious beings appear out of nowhere to take people - previously informed of the day and time of their death-in-hell it will have a second season. We don't have a release date yet, but we do have a little teaser.
3. The Indian “remake” of “Elite” has a trailer
Remakes of 'Ray Donovan' will arrive from India and, even more intriguingly, 'Elite', which has been renamed 'To classify'. For the rest, few changes: “In this school for the rich, we find attraction and danger, love and war, friendship and enmity… Basically, everything”, reports the 'youtubeur' . Prajakta Koli. The trailer that has just been released confirms the déjà vu. They even seem to have found Jaime Lorente's Indian look-alike.
4. Golden duo Raj & DK still on track
the promising series "Rifles and Gulaabs" is the first fruit of Netflix's longstanding collaboration agreement with filmmaker-producer duo Raj & DK, a blockbuster machine. This dark action comedy is set in the 1990s, in a town called Gulabganj where, it seems, danger lurks around every corner. It's a story, according to Netflix, of many firsts: "from first love to first murder." All shot in brilliant cinemascope.
