The National are working on a new album and have announced gigs this summer including Newport Folk Festival, Pitchfork Festival, Sound on Sound and Day In Day Out Fest. Now they have announced a North American summer tour, starting in July and running through September. “The past two years have given us ample time for reflection and rejuvenation,” they write. “The summer of 2022 is a time of reunion. We look forward to reuniting with friends, old and new. United in music and light, suspended in time. We hope you can join us. »
Lucy Dacus, Japanese breakfastet strange Bartes (who released an album of The National covers in 2020) each opens certain dates, and while there are no shows in New York at this time, the tour stops in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Boston, Missoula, Morrison, and more. See all dates below.
Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, April 1 at 10 a.m. local time.
