Square Enix registers the Lenneth brand: Valkyrie Profile reissue coming soon?
– Reviews News
Suspicious movements in the house Square Enix. On April 7, the Japanese giant registered the trademark " Lenneth“in Japan and Australia, without specifying further details regarding this brand. A name that, however, is by no means new to longtime JRPG enthusiasts.
Lenneth can indeed be connected to Valkyrie Profilea popular role-playing game produced since then Enix and developed by Trias, first exit Playstation in the Japanese and American markets between 1999 and 2000. In 2006, however, Square Enix produced the remake for PSP, aptly titled Valkyrie Profile Lenneth: In addition to the debuts in Japan and the United States, for the first time in 2007, European players were also able to get their hands on the game and thus enjoy a complex and spectacular JRPG.
There was also room for a re-release on devices iOS Et Android in 2018, but since then the Japanese giant has never taken over the brand again. Or at least it doesn't until March 9, 2022, the day Valkyrie Elysium was announced for PS5 and PS4. The Lenneth trademark registration could therefore be interpreted as a potential interest for Square Enix to refocus on the trademark, perhaps re-releasing the original title through a remaster or yet another remake.
For now, however, these are just guesses, at least until official communications about it arrive. In the meantime, you've seen the official Square Enix Youtube Music channel, with over 5000 songs from sagas such as final Fantasy, Nier and much more?
