Before the release of the presentation video, neither Suzuki nor its development studio YS network they had no obvious connection to the 110 Industries brand. Six months later, perhaps the real reason for Suzuki's inclusion has finally been revealed.
After seeing an Instagram post promoting the publisher's upcoming third-person action game, Wanted: Dead, a Shenmue fan posted a comment suggesting that 110 might be teaming up with Suzuki to create Shenmue 4. In all likelihood, it was probably little more than a wish on the fan part, but someone at 110 actually answered. In the response, the fan was asked “ guess why [Suzuki] was on the TGS stream"

While it might be unlikely that 110 would directly announce a project of this magnitude in this way, the idea of the publisher backing Shenmue 4 doesn't seem so far-fetched. This could certainly explain Suzuki's presence in the TGS video.
News of a possible fourth Shenmue game will no doubt please fans of the series, many of whom have waited decades for the conclusion of Suzuki's epic saga. This, coupled with the success of Shenmue the animation, suggests that the future looks very bright for the franchise.
