Netflix premieres this December 7 three comedies with different tone, theme and context: a children's comedy in the tone of a Mexican biopic; an Argentinian film and a Spanish series, both in the style of a romantic comedy. In all three cases, these are also productions made in the most important Spanish-speaking markets: Spain, Mexico and Argentina.

The first 3 respond to different variants of the comic genre: in the case of the Argentinian film, it is a romantic comedy about a couple in crisis. A theme that only Argentinians know how to deal with.

As for the Mexican series, we are talking about a youth comedy with a biopic tone, inspired by the adolescence of the famous Mexican actress Michelle Rodríguez.

Finally, regarding the Spanish series, we're talking about a diverse romantic comedy about two guys who meet in Barcelona.

MATRIMILLAS (Argentina):

It's about a young couple with children going through a crisis, and they seem to have exhausted all the instances to solve their marital problems. As a final solution, they decide to use an app that adds or subtracts points based on the merit they make with each other. At first, everything seems to work perfectly, but the obsession with accumulating points and gaining independence will lead to a completely uncontrollable end of life.

This comedy has Sebastián De Caro as director and Gabriel Korenfeld and Rocío Blanco as screenwriters. Executive production is entrusted to Esteban Mentasti, Hori Mentasti and Fernando Abadi. The film is being produced by Buffalo Films and Tieless Media.

SMILEY (Spain):

Álex and Bruno, the two protagonists of this romantic comedy, couldn't be more different. They form a strange couple in which they have in common only to be two men and to have fallen in love with each other. Their differences seem insurmountable, and their antagonistic personalities, but whether they like it or not, they are united by this common thread, even if they often want to break it.

Smiley is the television adaptation of the play by Guillem Clua, starring Miki Esparbé, Carlos Cuevas, Pepón Nieto, Meritxell Calvo, Giannina Fruttero, Eduardo Lloveras, Ruth Llopis and Ramon Pujol. With Guillem Clua himself as showrunner, the direction is under the responsibility of Marta Pahissa and David Martín Porras and the production is under the responsibility of the company Minoría Absoluta.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FLOWER (Mexico):

Esmeralda Soto stars in The Most Beautiful Flower of Mich, a fabulous and desperately authentic teenager. She will try to survive high school by navigating between love octagons - a level beyond the classic love triangle - social expectations and family traditions while pursuing her mission to be popular. The series is inspired by the teenage years of Mexican actress Michelle Rodríguez.
