Mexico.- A "reality TV show" that brings together the egos and dramas of three iconic women in Mexican show business, a retro detective series, the Mexican version of a popular Japanese food show and the sequel to famous national series are Netflix's promise for Latin America in the coming months.
The platform of Streaming announced this Thursday that one of its next premieres will be the reality show "Siempre queens" in which actresses and singers Lorena Herrera, Laura Zapata, Sylvia Pasquel and Lucía Méndez, all with great careers and lives and declarations controversial, they will fight against their ego and their explosive personalities to carry out a project together.
Likewise, the country will see the arrival of the popular Japanese cooking program "Iron Chef" in its Mexican version, where the culinary competition will focus on mixing the country's traditional cuisine with eccentric ingredients that will challenge its participants.
This will take place under the leadership of singer Paty Cantú and chef Poncho Cadena.
In fiction, Luis Gerardo Méndez directs the premieres with the series "Belascoarán Shayne", a story created by Mexican writer Paco Ignacio Taibo II that follows the adventures of a "chilango" private detective from the then Federal District, who will recount his own experiences in Mexico in the 1970s.
In addition to Méndez, the series will feature the participation of Paulina Gaitán and Irene Azuela. However, it does not yet have a possible release date.
After the Fernández family scandal surrounding the late ranchera singer Vicente Fernández's unauthorized biographical series on Televisa, Netflix has released the first images of "El rey, Vicente Fernández", the Mexican dynasty-approved series that stars the actor Jaime Camil.
Among other novelties, there is also the "La firma" competition to be held in Mexico and which will have as judges international leaders of Latin music, such as Rauw Alejandro, Yandel, Nicki Nicole, Tainy and Lex Borrero, to find the industry's next star.
The platform also announced that the second season of the series “Rebelde” will be released soon, August 17 will be the premiere of “Where There Was Fire”, and series like “Who Killed Sara? and “Control Z” will launch their third and final seasons on May 18 and July 6, respectively.
