Who was Jeffrey Dahmer really and how did he commit his crimes?
Dahmer was born on May 21, 1960, began killing at age 18, and had 17 victims before being arrested in 1991. Dahmer murdered 17 men of varying ages, with un operating mode which included rape, necrophilia, dismemberment and cannibalism.
He committed his first murder in 1978. Dahmer was an introverted and asocial teenager, who had started creating a strange hobby of examining the carcasses of dead animals and he was already an alcoholic at such a young age. Dahmer picked up a hitchhiker, Steven Hicks, and convinced him to go to his house for a beer. After he hit him on the neck with a 10-kilo weight, dismembered him and buried his remains scattered in the family garden.

Dahmer entered and dropped out of college the following year, due to his alcoholism, and enlisted in the army where he served as a combat medic in Germany from 1979 to 1981. His alcohol problems caused continued and he was discharged from the force and sent to live with his grandmother in Wisconsin. There he started hanging out in the area's gay bars and venues, drugged and raped several men while he was unconscious.
Steven Tuomi, a man he met in one of these places, was his second victim in 1987. A spiral of violence ensued which intensified year after year. Dahmer began experimenting on his victims, trying to turn them into "zombies" who would bend to his will. He used many different techniques, such as drill holes in their skulls and inject hydrochloric acid or boiling water into their brains.
Dhamer murdered two more victims in 1988, one in 1989, four in 1990, and eight in 1991, until Tracy Edwards escaped her torture on July 22 of that year and, thanks to her testimony and the evidence found in Dahmer's house, the murderer was arrested.. Police found four severed heads in his home (one in the freezer, next to a human heart), several photographs of the victims being dismembered and an altar built with candles and skulls in its cupboard.
