✔️ REVIEWS News – Paris/France.
More recently, Spider-Man has been providing some exciting entertainment in movies, but the superhero is ready to mess up again on Netflix. The following film can even be a real trick that not everyone knows. The only important thing is that you have to put aside your own dislike of animated films.
Starting this week, Marvel fans can watch “Spider-Man: No Way Home” digitally on Amazon, Apple, and other video services — for a fee, of course. Important to know: we cannot see the film as part of the Disney+ package. Why? We have already specified in another article. But there is another current Spider-Man and his name is not Peter Parker. I beg your pardon?
Now on Netflix: Spider-Man: A New Universe
If you don't already know, Sony was involved in the production "Spider-Man: A New Universe" already in 2018 a computer-animated superhero feature film that has it all. There are now also available on Netflix (available since March 11). Great for anyone who hasn't seen it and was only familiar with the Real Spider-Man movies (watch Spider-Man: A New Universe on Netflix).
A trailer whets the appetite for more:
In the film Miles Morales puts on the spider suit and not Peter Parker. Although he also has an appearance, there are also other spider heroes. The original title "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" could be a guide in this regard, as Sony managed to position the multiverse even before the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Small spoiler: Anyone who has always wanted to see or rather hear Nicolas Cage or his German voice Martin Kessler as Spider-Man cannot avoid "Spider-Man: A New Universe".
But how good can such an animated film be? I was also skeptical at first, but overcame my biases and took a look. I haven't looked back. "Spider-Man: A New Universe" does not have to shy away from comparison with the MCU films and is still very different. But it's still great fun. Just a subjective opinion? Maybe, but IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes also agree with me.
The sequel will be released in the fall, a first preview:
Critics have a clear opinion
In the movie database, this is enough for 8,4 points or stars out of 10 possible. For comparison: “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is currently not much better with 8,6 points and “Avengers: Endgame” is the same as the previous best MCU movie. Even Clearer Rotten Tomatoes: 97% Insane on the Professional Critics' Tomatometer and 93% positive public approval.
In short: look! By the way, in October this year the first part of the sequel will be released - “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”. So now is exactly the right time to join Netflix so you can have your say later.
