Samsung's Unbox and Discover event took place last week, and the 2022 TV lineup is stacked for home entertainment enthusiasts. The company has dropped two major new models and updated another one that's sure to pique everyone's interest: the Neo 8K HDR QLED, Neo S95B OLED 4K Smart TV, and The Frame's upgraded 2022 model.
I had the opportunity to check out these models first hand last week to see how they compare. All I can say is Holy Moly – Samsung has exceeded the bar again.

The Frame is Samsung's most popular TV model, and it's easy to see why. The 2021 model introduced the company's Quantum Dot technology into the QLED display. Coupled with customizable bezels, the TV can act as a piece of art set up in your living room when not in use. One glaring issue (if you pardon the pun) was that the screen still reflected light, and so if you walked past it was obvious it was a TV.
The 2022 model removed glare with an anti-glare matte finish and added a bunch of new sizing options. You can get The Frame in a range of 43 to 65 inches for your living room or home theater system. Side by side, the anti-glare screen makes all the difference in this TV – when not in use, Art Mode, which displays famous works of art on screen, really makes it look like you're a Picasso or a Monet on your screen. It also helps that Samsung designed these customizable bezels to be 45 per cent thinner and mount flush to the wall. Personally, I didn't see a difference in the thickness of the bezel, but this screen impressed me so much that I went home wanting to pick one up myself.

My only issue with seeing the TV up close was that the screen seemed a bit dim. I don't think this will be a problem though, as the Art mode clearly fades to mirror the art on the screen, and once the TV started playing the QLED brightened considerably. You can also adjust the screen nits to your preference. If you like bright, sunny rooms, you'll probably need to change the settings to optimize your TV display.

The Samsung Neo QN900 QLED 8K Smart TV is, quite frankly, one of the best looking TVs I've seen to date in terms of picture. More and more companies are delivering the 8K HDR experience, and Samsung clearly wanted to be at the forefront of the coming 8K revolution.
Because their 8k model comes with double the pixels of the 4K models, you'll get a much clearer picture on the 65-inch or 85-inch screen (whichever you choose). However, most TV shows are still streaming in 1080p and if they are streaming in 4K, Netflix will tell you. The Neo 8K will automatically upscale your shows to 8K, or even near 8K, so you get that premium quality for a fraction of the price.
The 85-inch model I witnessed was just as slim as the Neo 4K OLED model that was also shown off at Samsung's studio, and with the same 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, it's a real winner for home theater enthusiasts. Sports fans will also appreciate this model as QLED models fare better in brighter spaces, so you'll get a clear picture while you capture that afternoon game on screen. It also comes with a superb adaptive lighting feature that will provide a more realistic viewing experience while you stream. You'll also get Dolby Atmos surround sound and object tracking audio features to help you fully immerse yourself in the screen.
For those who want the highest detail on their screen, this is the TV for you, but it will cost you $4 for the 999,99-inch model to bring such a beautiful screen home.

If you don't think you'd get the most out of The Frame, I'll point you to another great contender for a really great TV: the Neo S95B OLED 4K Smart TV.
There are two types of models that invade the market when it comes to pixelation: QLED and OLED. The bottom line is that QLED is a more sophisticated version of its predecessor, the LCD TV. It still uses LED light to provide the different colors, whereas OLED does not incorporate any LED technology into its composition. Instead, the pixels are designed to light up, allowing for better viewing in a dark space like a home theater. When you look at the Samsung Neo S95B OLED 4K Smart TV, you see over 8,3 million pixels shining on the screen alone. With Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound, this TV is arguably one of the best ways to stream with vibrant colors and a solid audio experience.
The result, in this case, is stunning, beautiful vibrancy for every frame displayed on screen. To be frank, if I hadn't fallen in love with the aesthetics compared to that of its cousin The Frame. However, the 65-inch model of it sells for $2, which is exactly $999 more than The Frame. Despite the price difference, I was really drawn to the Neo 1K model because of the refresh rate and because no matter where you moved in space, the TV screen didn't distort. As a turtle passed across the screen, the creature felt so vibrant and realistic that I found myself completely immersed in the image, which is exactly what this TV is designed to make you do.

With OLED, Samsung says it used a laser beam as inspiration for the design, and as a result the TV is just 1,6 inches wide (the base will expand that to 11,3 inches). The finished product of this signature RazorSlim design coupled with the infinity screen provides a truly magnificent viewing experience due to its thinness. The only downside I could even mention, price aside, is that unlike the 8K QLED model which comes up to 85 inches, the OLED model only offers two options at the moment, 65 and 75 inches.
