After being on Netflix since 2014, Criminal Minds time on Netflix US will soon be coming to an end on Netflix. 10 of 12 seasons in Streaming on Netflix in the United States will leave the service on June 30, 2022.
First added to Netflix in 2014, the show received annual season drops on Netflix after the season finale on CBS where it aired. After being on Netflix for the next decade, the series will now begin its slow removal from Netflix with seasons 1-10 now confirmed to drop on June 30.
Criminal Minds is a police procedural series that follows a group of extraordinary FBI profilers who spend their days getting inside the minds of psychopathic criminals.
The series ended in 2021 with its fifteenth season, which means the series ended with 324 episodes in total. It also saw two spin-off series called suspicious behavior Yes Across borders.
Netflix hasn't been the best place to watch Criminal Minds for some time. Since season 13, Netflix has not allowed new seasons. Instead, they're streaming exclusively on Paramount+, and those new seasons are also available on Hulu, though probably not forever.
Now, as we said, Netflix is currently streaming seasons 1-12 of the show. Seasons 11 and 12 will continue to air for the foreseeable future (we'll have an idea of the expiration dates for those in the near future).
The loss is great for Netflix. Data from Nielsen indicates that the show was Netflix US's third most-watched title of 2020, with 35,41 billion minutes of watch time. In 2021, it was the most popular show on Netflix in the United States with 33,9 billion minutes watched. The show also continues to top Nielsen's Top 10 Acquisitions list each week through 2022. Each week, the series continues to get over 500 million minutes of viewing each week.
Where will Criminal Minds stream after leaving Netflix?
The good news is that Criminal Minds is already streaming in its new home, as we discussed earlier. All 15 seasons will continue to air on Paramount+. The show will also be rebooted on Paramount+.
Internationally, the show continues to be distributed by Disney, where the show is available on the Star tab of Disney+. Once the series leaves Netflix entirely, it probably means that Criminal Minds will not move again in the long term.
