We've seen quite a few Google Pixel Watch over the past couple of weeks. First it was a Pixel Watch render, then live photos of the device. Although its appearance is no longer a mystery, there are still many unanswered questions about the device. According to a source, new information has surfaced giving us new details about the Google Pixel Watch.
According to people from 9to5Google, the unannounced Wear OS device will pack a 300 mAh battery. That's good to know, but there are too many factors involved that keep us from knowing what really matters, which is how long the Pixel Watch will last. But, you have to give it to them to try to figure it out. The site extensively compared the Pixel Watch's reported 300mAh battery and found similarities with a few models, namely the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Fossil Gen 6, and Skagen's Faster Gen 6.
Using the data, they speculated that the Pixel Watch could last 20-48 hours. This is, of course, quite a large discrepancy. But again, it'll be hard to know without getting all the details and even then it's a device that could improve over time. Expand its capabilities through optimizations and software updates. In addition to the battery, the source also confirmed that there will be cellular connectivity.
While it's unclear when the Google Pixel Watch will be announced, many believe it could arrive at the Google I/O 2022 developer conference. The conference, which takes place May 11-12, could host the new mobile phone from Google. Hopefully the smartwatch will emerge at the event, at a competitive price. Luckily, we won't have to wait long as the event is only a few weeks away.
