How come a game with LEGO bricks has been compared to one of the most influential action games of the last decades? The reason is very simple: for the new Star Wars game, the guys from TT Games have developed a whole new combat system which is inspired by video games of action. Nothing complex or overly technical, but the moves are definitely more spectacular. For example, slash after slash, punch after punch, is possible toss unfortunate opponents into the air and hit them repeatedly…exactly as it happens in Devil May Cry and others! Qui-Gon Jinn is even able to use Dive Kick to pull enemies towards him or throw them into the opposite corner. A taste? Enjoy the videos at the bottom of this news, nobody expected such a thing from a LEGO Star Wars game!
Players have also found a way to use this new mechanic for purposes other than combat. Like, how? In the world of LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, there are non-player characters who, despite themselves, can be repeatedly punched and never shatter into a thousand pieces. This is the case for some unhappy children: the players have therefore learned to take advantage of this to stay in the air indefinitely and thus overcome the obstacles on the map otherwise insurmountable. The feat has also been baptized: it is called "Child theft". Poor children!
