Striking Distance will support The Callisto Protocol for a year after its in-store launch by releasing several Downloadable Content.
As the most attentive will have noticed, the arrival of post-launch content had already been confirmed in recent months thanks to the opening of pre-orders for the digital versions, given that among the bonuses included in the Deluxe Edition, there there is also the Season pass.
Now, thanks to an interview published by the TrueTrophies portal, further details have arrived on Striking Distance's plans for post-launch support for the Callisto protocol, which apparently have yet to be fully defined.
"We view The Callisto Protocol as a 'full-service' game and will invest in DLCs. We're aiming for a full year of post-launch support,” said CTO Mark James.
“We made sure that the game could be expanded in the future. We've created a world that can tell different stories and so we can do that through DLC, or we might actually tell them in later products. »
“We like to think of The Callisto Protocol as a franchise: every developer, when creating a new IP, likes to think of it as an investment to create a franchise. It's very expensive to create a new IP, so we always want to try and get the most out of it. »
One of the many enemies we will face in The Callisto Protocol
James added that in the Callisto Protocol DLC we might see “ different modes“, some of which may be inspired by other survival horror games.
“We currently have a linear story mode,” added James. “We can also tell the outbreak of the pandemic in the prison without touching the original story. »
The Callisto protocol will be available from 2 December for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. During those hours, the words of game director Glen Schofield, who admitted that the team faces a grueling crisis, speak loudly.
