Whatever your opinion of emoji, they have become an essential part of our texting and messaging lives. Some people use them sparingly, while others like to walk the potentially nasty range and use more emoji than actual words. If you want to jazz up something you're writing with a few emoji, but aren't sure which ones to use, don't worry — Gboard is rolling out a new feature that tries to make that choice for you.
Some users have started seeing a magic wand button on their keyboard, starting with the last update. When you're done writing a sentence, tap the button to insert a handful of emoji that Gboard thinks best matches what you've written.

There are two modes here – tapping once will put an emoji translation after your text, and typing it twice will insert an emoji between each word. Sometimes it works pretty well, while in other sentences it's kind of a hit or miss. So far it looks like you need your keyboard set to English, but we may see support for more languages in the future.
If you want to try it out on your device, make sure your Gboard app is fully updated, and maybe sign up for the beta program and try the newest beta if the latest stable version doesn't work. 'case. In testing, we had to enable the emoji line in the app settings for the wand to show up initially, but it stuck afterwards - something you can try if it's not showing up for you. Ultimately, though, it appears to be a staged rollout, so don't be surprised if it doesn't show up for you at all right now - it might just show up on your phone in the next days.
