Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" has become one of the biggest songs of the holiday season, but Carey wants to take things to the next level with her attempt to officially trademark the term "Christmas Queen." .
Carey filed her trademark last March and the news went public in July. According to the application filed with the United States Trademark Office, the term trademark would cover a wide range of items such as lotions, perfumes, jewelry, mugs, clothing, food, ornaments and of course music. .
Many singers have come forward to show their resistance to the trademark claim. Singer Elizabeth Chan has officially filed a complaint against Carey.
