Thanksgiving weekend was won by Netflix. After the American holidays, the film Glass onion: a mystery at loggerheads achieved a box office that positions it as the biggest winner of recent days.
Although the platform Streaming does not release figures for its theatrical releases, experts estimate that the film made between $12,7 and $13 million.
That puts her under Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ($64 million) and a strange world ($18,6 million), but with a nuance: Glass Onion it's out in less than 700 US resorts, and they'll only be showing it for a week.
These are the conditions that Netflix has set for the film directed by Rian Johnson, sequel to Between knives and secrets (Knives out, 2019), which totaled US$313 million.
Again starring Daniel Craig, the story follows Detective Benoit Blanc investigating a death on a private island in Greece.
The cast is made up of Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Ethan Hawke.
The platform catalog Streaming will arrive on December 23.
