Gigabyte announced AORUS Gen5 10000the first PCI Express 5.0 SSD in the world, featuring a flexible thermal design and capable of exceptional performance while limiting temperatures.
Characterized by a reading speed of 10 GB / s and a next-gen PCIe 5.0 controller with ultra-fast 3D-TLC NAND flash, the AORUS Gen5 10000 is 55% faster than PCIe 4.0 SSDs and is available in sizes ranging from 1TB to 4TB with M. 2 2280.
Thermal design can count on a solution with separate radiators that maximizes flexibility, while Gigabyte's SSD Tool Box app lets you monitor real-time operating temperatures, optimize performance, and adjust SSD stability.

"With PCIe 5.0 support built into the new motherboard platform, bandwidth and data transfer performance reach another level," said Jackson Hsu, director of product development at Gigabyte.
"In addition to being the first manufacturer to bring both motherboards and SSD product lines to market, Gigabyte is also the first to introduce a PCIe 5.0 SSD, the AORUS Gen5 10000 SSD. This new product offers users ultra-fast storage performance with durability and compatibility for optimal quality and performance. »
Developed through the collaboration between Gigabyte and Phison, AORUS Gen5 10000 required special commitment during the testing phase, passed on the basis of continuous technical comparison and mutual checks.

The AORUS Gen5 10000 SSD is equipped with the latest Phison PS5026-E26 8-channel controller, giving users maximum control over random read speed.
With a stack structure of over 200 layers, a maximum bandwidth of 2400 MT/s 3D-TLC NAND Flash and an LPDDR4 cache design, the AORUS Gen5 10000 SSD unleashes the full potential of PCIe 5.0 performance with a speed of Ultra-fast 10GB/s access, a 40% increase over the last generation.
Powered by the PS5026-E26 controller with multi-core architecture, the AORUS Gen5 10000 SSD not only enhances AI multitasking operations, but takes content creators, gamers and users seeking extreme performance to the next level .
At the same time, GIGABYTE's R&D team continues testing on NAND Flash and next-generation components, which could further improve performance and bring the access speed to more than 12Gb/s. This would once again secure GIGABYTE the first step into the market, providing users with the premium performance of PCIe® 5.0 SSD with the distinct power of GIGABYTE engineering.
Normally, high-speed SSDs generate huge amounts of heat during full-speed operation, and thermal throttling activates as a protection to prevent data loss and wear and tear on memory chips and controllers, this which slows down the transfer rate and performance.
Since many next-gen motherboards already feature an integrated M.2 heatsink, the AORUS Gen5 10000 SSD is specially designed to work with an easily removable full copper-clad heatsink.
Users will be able to flexibly choose to use the built-in heatsink on their motherboards or the one included with the AORUS Gen5 10000 SSD, depending on their needs.
AORUS Gen5 10000 SSD is equipped with NVMe M.2 interface protocol. To take advantage of the breakthrough performance of 10GB/s read speed, motherboards that support PCIe® 5.0, GIGABYTE next-generation motherboards, Z690 and above, are highly recommended to get the most out of this new technology.
Powered by professional R&D excellence, comprehensive testing and monitoring software, GIGABYTE motherboards with maximum stability and optimized performance are definitely the best choice for users.
