Don Toliver will not be joining Kid Cudi for the "To The Moon" tour.
Kid Cudi can't take a break lately. The "Day 'N' Nite" rapper walked off the Rolling Loud stage after being pelted with water bottles. His friend-turned-enemy Kanye West mocked him in a post about Pete Davidson's breakup with Kim Kardashian, writing a fake headline saying Davidson was dead with the caption, "Kid Cudi wanted to play funeral but was scared bottle throwers. Now, his opening act has pulled out of his upcoming tour.
In a statement released on Friday, August 12, Don Toliver announced that he will no longer be performing on the "To The Moon" tour. He explained his reasoning on Twitter, blaming logistical challenges.
"Unfortunately, due to production/logistics issues, I can no longer participate in the 'To the Moon' tour with Kid Cudi," the Houston rapper wrote. “My top priority is to create an experience that my fans deserve. We tried all possible options, but in the end there was no solution. »
He didn't want to rain on Cudi's parade though, and was sure to note that "my brother Cudi is going to kill him every night!" Toliver also said he would use the new free time to work on his own music. “I promise I will be locked in the studio creating these moments to share with all of you on this stage so soon…” he wrote.
Cudi also addressed the news. " Dude. Me and the fans will miss you bro. I love you, Don. sad news,” he wrote. Toliver has confirmed that he will still be performing at Cudi's Moon Man's Landing festival on September 17. Take a look at Toliver's statement below.
