Recap and spoilers
- Dark human emotions and supernatural elements seem to be the general influence of the series. Chee is skeptical and doesn't like being told what to do about safety.
- There's a witch in the show
- One of the bodies in the murder case was mutilated in a motel, for no other reason than to prevent people from leaking information about the crime to the police (I don't know how that makes sense, but we will wait.)
- There are many connections with the officers and townspeople. McClarnon insinuated that he and his wife lost a son, Leaphorn has a past with a murder victim's father, and Leaphorn's son was romantically involved with the murder victim.
