Although you might think that iPhone devices won't work well with Google Chromecast dongles, these work great together. Not only can you use an iPhone to cast content to a Chromecast device, you can even set one up using the iOS Google Home app. This means you can use your iPhone with a Chromecast device from start to finish.
There are, however, certain software requirements. Your iPhone will need to be running at least iOS 14 or later. Additionally, you will need an HDMI-enabled TV and a Wi-Fi connection for both devices to access it.
The only thing an iPhone officially can't do is mirror the entire screen to a Chromecast. There are, however, ways to do this with third-party apps. More on that later.
