It's a great way to reuse old technology while enhancing your security inside the home.
The easiest way to transform a smartphone as a security camera is to download an app from the play store. There's no right or wrong answer here – you can choose one that fits your specific needs. Start the camera setup process
You will see a live feed from the rear camera on the old default phone. On the main screen, tap Settings at the bottom to see a few more options you might want to tweak. You can choose which camera you want to use, select whether the camera should record audio, or configure the app to automatically reopen after a restart.
You should also make sure to turn on the Automatic power saving mode because the AlfredCamera application will need to be running at all times. Once you've gone through all these settings for the camera, it's time to go check out the other phone.
Back on your current device, tap the settings icon in the top left of the LIVE stream when the camera is online. You have more options now than before. Consider enabling the Motion detection setting to only record video when motion is detected to save internal storage space. Alternatively, you must turn on the Continuous recording feature if you prefer to record video all the time.
