The creators have stated many times that they planned the series to have at least 6 seasons.
Speaking to Deadline about the possibility of a sixth season recently, Hayden Schlossberg said:
“We have an end in mind. How many seasons it takes to get there, we don't know. We really enjoy doing it. If we are tired, we stop before; We already have a few more seasons planned.

As stated above, Netflix in most previous seasons has always renewed snake kai before the new seasons drop.
The difference this time around, we suspect, is that the showrunners have another project in the works (on Netflix) in the form of erased. This series recently wrapped filming in November 2022, and once post-production/editing is complete, they will once again be free to move on. snake kai.

This data comes from Netflix's top 10 sites, where we get 40 figures per hour every week.
Between September 4 and October 9, 2022, the show was watched for 274,72 million hours worldwide in the top 10 before falling off the chart.

How does season 5 compare to season 4 in terms of viewership?
There is a noticeable drop, but both series have had a similar trajectory. Season 5 started with an 11% drop from Season 4.

Using external demand, we can also see that while the show remains popular, we are seeing diminishing returns over time.

What is the future of snake kai?
With Terry Silver's deceptive antics exposed to his students, all turned their backs on their sensei, and he was subsequently arrested for his crimes.

Mike revealed to Daniel and Chozen that Terry Silver promised him a 50% stake in Cobra Kai many years ago. While he's not sure if he can find the document or the attorney to prove it, there's a chance that Daniel's old enemy could continue to redeem himself and Cobra Kai if he takes over the dojos.
However, it could also lead to a possible Cobra Kai Civil War if Mike Barnes directs Terry's former students who may have to fight Kim Da-Eun's students.
If Kreese is involved with Kim Da-Eun, we could easily see him trying to manipulate the situation by having Kim Da-Eun bet his 50% against Barnes' 50% in a win-win bet at Sekai Takai.

What does Kreese do?
Kreese having escaped from prison, the only person he can turn to is Kim Da-Eun, the granddaughter of his former master.
Silver and Kim Da-Eun were already a formidable pair, but Kreese has nothing left to lose, making him more dangerous than ever.

What is the future of Miyago-Do and Eagle Fang?
With Silver defeated, Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang should be able to return in triumph, reopen their dojos, and begin training students for the Sekai Takai.
It remains to be seen who represents their respective dojos, but one would expect Miguel to represent Eagle Fang and Hawk to represent Miyagi-Do. Depending on the situation with Cobra Kai, Robby might represent the dojo over Kenny, but if Robby were to join Miyagi-Do or Eagle Fang, he might have to compete with Hawk or Miguel.
Samantha will represent Miyagi Do and Devon Lee could once again represent Eagle Fang. As for Tory, his place in the tournament could be in question if organizers Sekai Takai ban him for not clarifying Silver's cheating earlier. It may also lead to an additional redemption for Tory if she is allowed to compete.

When will the baby be born?
Johnny is having a baby with Carmen, and it is not yet known when the baby will be born, which could affect Johnny's attendance at Sekai Takai.

Will Julie Pierce appear?
Almost all of the main characters from the original Karate Kid films have returned to reprise their roles in Cobra Kai. The only omission so far is Julie Pierce, previously played by Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank.
It would be extremely fun to see Swank return to reprise her role as Julie, as the character could return to help train Miyagi Do students to prepare Sekai Takai.
If there is a new conflict with Kim Da-Eun, it would be incredibly fun to see Julie Pierce take on the Korean master of Tang Soo Do.

Cobra Kai already has an extremely extensive cast list, but we expect most of the cast to reprise their season five roles for season six, including;

When can we expect to see snake kai season 6 on netflix?
In the relatively short space of twenty months, we have seen the release of three seasons of snake kai on Netflix, starting with Season 3 in January 2021 and most recently Season 5 in September 2022.
As subscribers have grown accustomed to seeing new seasons of snake kai on Netflix on a semi-regular basis, the wait for a sixth season might be the longest.
Without a quick revamp, production has yet to begin and likely won't be until 2023. Which means a late 2023/2024 release date is more realistic.
