snake kai has become one of Netflix's gems, and that before becoming part of one of the first YouTube Originals productions in its most ambitious days, when Google thought it could compete by offering exclusive content, like Prime Video. Now this sequel to the trilogy Karate Kidinitiated by the great John G. Avildsen for the cinema and with which the generations of the 80s grew up with a crane attack with Daniel LaRusso in the lead, returns with its main protagonists but offers an interesting twist to its arguments and, above all, giving the opportunity to add new followers thanks to the karatekas of the most recent generations.
What is the origin of Cobra Kai?
these series arrived on YouTube in May 2018 with a different look at the whole universe that the films had shown us in the eighties. Unfortunately, in Spain we have not been able to see it officially and only very eager users have come to pay for each of its eight chapters (at 2,5 euros each) to enjoy them in English with subtitles. snake kai it was a reality, but still far from the success it was going to have when Google decided to end its originals and focus on its video platform. Netflix, as it does on many occasions, was attentive and took over the rights to continue the adventures of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), which gave way to the current splendor in which lives the installed franchise.
This group of 80s teenagers who fought for the All Valley title in their respective gyms, or in the case of Daniel LaRusso, even traveled to Japan to learn more about the origin of karate and the family of his mentor, the mythical Mr. Miyagi, watched the years pass and the passage of life until 34 years later, they return (this time) to the small screen. The two antagonists, suddenly, saw their lives converge in Cobra Kai, comparing the paths each took and the success that we understand was defined by the outcome of that first fight in 1984: LaRusso became a winner, a recognized businessman with an idyllic life in the valley, and Lawrence, in short, a loser who had no misfortune that he didn't want to accompany him.
New characters, old traumas
Despite the years that have passed since the events of 1984, Cobra Kai is still the name of the dojo that represents pure evil in the valley. Although Johnny Lawrence tries to make a name for himself by starting his own business and training new generations the old-fashioned ("strike first, strike hard, ruthless") way of his master, the controversial John Kreese (Martin Kove ), you'll quickly come across Daniel LaRusso's answer that he will return to his roots and create an antagonistic dojo to fight the evil he believes is spreading, resorting to the old advice Mr. Miyagi instilled in him three decades ago.
As you can imagine, old hatreds will return to the valley and soon the enmity of old suitors will affect new students arriving at the dojos.
To make matters a little worse, John Kreese will return to the Valley and not just have a spectator role of this old enmity between Daniel and Johnny, since he is going to excite his former pupil so that, far from diminishing the intensity of the violence of his lessons, they gain even more in intensity, creating in the kids a morbid need for confrontation which darkened life in the valley in places that had been far from this rivalry. A massive fight and the disastrous consequences it will bring will trigger a whole series of changes in some of the protagonists, which will mark the future of the series.

John Kreese takes command of Cobra Kai
With the passage of the second and third season, John Kreese is slowly taking over Johnny's dojo, which he corners with his increasingly wild approaches and pushes him to leave to be left alone in charge (well, then Terry Silver will arrive). When this happens, it's clear there's no equal counterweight to stop it, unless former enemies join forces around Mr. Miyagi's old dojo. Only then, believe LaRusso and Lawrence, can they defeat and drive out of their lives the one who has always been behind the wars between dojos, fighters and masters. An influence that must be annihilated to prevent the valley from experiencing a dramatic bloodbath.
It is obvious that, although the three characters of Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence and John Kreese reign over all the others, in Cobra Kai the new generations are just as important, Many other key main characters who also have a whole network of personal relationships that will blur things a little more: on the one hand, Miguel Díaz (Xolo Maridueña), who acts as the leader of the Cobra Kai in the first seasons; Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser), Daniel's daughter and who will also participate in this war; and Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan), Johnny's offspring who will tend to do the exact opposite of what his father tells him, first as an apprentice at the Miyagi dojo and later under the command of John Kreese himself. same.
This triangle of new talent will be marked throughout the four seasons by the rivalry of parents and dojos, creating a circle of clashes that will feed the new hatreds in the valley. As you can imagine, the good fault of this germ has an origin that you may have already guessed, Cobra Kai, where John Kreese and Terry Silver continue to poison the minds of some boys who will be immersed in the old plot that started in 1984 and today, 38 years later, is still alive because of the old ghosts that haunt all of its protagonists.

Will we get a fifth season of snake kai?
For now, the adventures of Daniel, Johnny and John will continue since Netflix has announced a fifth season which has already finished filming and which even has a release date: the September 9st. The company even gave us a first advance.
The new episode is not free from Theories and it is that, for example, we expect to see (ATTENTION, SPOILERS of the fourth) how the All Valley tournament will face Cobra Kai, the Miyagi dojo and Johnny Lawrence's newly created Eagle Fang in a competition in which the loser will have to close his dojo and the master stop teaching karate.
As you can imagine, the swords are high as one last mystery hovers over the series: who will be the father that Miguel went to look for in Mexico? Will we see the return of an old acquaintance from Karate Kid III? Everything seems to indicate yes. More fuel to the fire.
