Bodybuilding is one fringe sport. that in recent decades several films and documentaries have taken up the subject and accompanied various bodybuilders on their way, apparently not much has changed in this fact.
In November 2014, we brought you a list of the top ten bodybuilding movies.
Since then, among other things, on the different platforms of Streaming many other films have arrived on the market that we would like to introduce to you.
Additionally, we mention older documentationwhich were not in the selection at the time, but can be viewed on YouTube.
The list of films and documentaries follows no rating.
#1 Ronnie Coleman: The King (2018)
In 2018, the documentary "Ronnie Coleman: The King" was released on Netflix, which is about the man behind the eight times Mr. Olympia employee. The film highlights both the American's active career and his life afterwards. In addition to Coleman himself, it also featured some of his companions such as cutler jay ou Kevin Levrone interviewed at that time.
#2 Arnold Schwarzenegger – The Early Years (2003)
who has pump iron liked, will probably also for the early years by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The 46-minute documentary is available for free on Amazon Prime and tells the story of the Austrian. Meanwhile, older video footage showing the future actor posing or competing is shown. Also his friend and companion Franco Columbus is on camera in various scenes.
#3 Gen Iron 2-4
The first part of Generation Iron brought to light competition between Kai Greene and Phil Heath at Mr Olympia 2012 and was already mentioned in our list at that time.

The second part deals with the growth bodybuilding industry and the role of social media.

In 2022, the fourth part was published under the title Natty 4 lifewho is dedicated to natural bodybuilding.
#4 Blood and Guts (2003)
Dorian Yates is still known many years after his active career for his extremely intensive training, which he received in the 90s six Olympic titles assistance. #5 The Berlin Wall Workout (2007)
Heiko Kalbach is now known to many through his presence on YouTube, but was also a successful professional bodybuilder himself. The 2007 documentary charged the IFBB Pro in two parts on his YouTube channel.
#6 Tim Budesheim – Vision (2019)

#7 The Battle for Gold (1988)
Documentation comes from tom's place tells and accompanies various bodybuilders on their way to Mr. Olympia 1988. Among others, there was Samir Bannout et Lee haneywho shares a record with Ronnie Coleman with eight Olympic titles.
Movie tip: Kai Greene was already in the first two parts of Generation Iron often in front of the camera, but is now also getting her own documentary which is supposed to depict her life. Generation Iron is again involved in the project and announced on Instagram that the film “Kai” will be released on August 26, 2022 should appear.
