How much advertising and at what price?
As announced by Netflix this Thursday, its new tariff with advertising – which they have called “Basic plan with advertisements” -, already has a date in Spain: next November 10 at 17:00 p.m.
The price in Spain of this new plan will be €5,49 per month, which is a considerable reduction considering that the cheapest plan so far was €7,99 per month.
And in other countries? According to what has been announced, the basic plan with advertising will be priced at $6,99 per month in the United States and will be available on the platform a little earlier, starting November 3 at 9 a.m. Likewise, the prices have also been announced. Canadian ($5,99) and UK ($4,99) pricing and that the plan will also be available in Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, and Mexico.
With the new subscription plan Netflix is cheaper, but ads are part of the equation. Those who subscribe to this plan will continue to have access to almost the entire Netflix catalog and from the same devices as before. According to the platform, “some movies and series won’t be available due to licensing restrictions,” but it looks like it will only be temporarily as they work to prevent them from being quickly reduced to minimum.
