This is their first album for the legendary independent label Sub Pop.

Built to Spill announce their ninth studio album When the wind forgets your name, arriving September 9 on Sub Pop. This is the band's first release for the label, having spent the past 25 years on Warner Bros.
Today, Doug Martsch and co. preview the album with new single "Gonna Lose," which is attached to an animated video by Jordan Minkoff and Lee McClure. The new single is a relatively brief burst of tangled guitar and Martsch's high-pitched vocals, and it's unsurprisingly great.
The nine tracks When the wind forgets your name was produced by Martsch and finds it supported by Le Almeida and João Cases, two members of Brazilian psychedelic jazz-rock band Oruã who will also be opening for Built To Spill on their upcoming massive tour.
However, Martsch will be joined on stage by his current BTS lineup of Melanie Radford and Teresa Esguerra — if you want a sneak peek at that show, check out Exclaim's recap! from the set of Martsch, Radford and Esguerra at this year's Treefort Music Festival in Boise Idaho.
When the wind forgets your name is the follow-up to Built to Spill from 2015 unattached moon. Check out the video for "Gonna Lose", as well as the When the wind forgets your name Built to Spill's upcoming tracklist and tour dates, below.
(Strange note – the disc's track listing includes two songs side-by-side called "Spiderweb" and "Rock Steady", which are the names of a No Doubt song and album, respectively. to be underlined? Probably not!)

3. Understood
4. Elements
5. Steady Rock
