John Wayne Gacy Jr. is one of the most notorious serial killers in American criminal history. Gacy killed at least 33 boys and young men between 1972 and 1976 and swapped their bodies under the ground and on the grounds of his Chicago home. He became known as Killer Clown because he lured his future victims to him in a clown costume. He is also in the Guinness Book of World Records: in 1980, Gacy was sentenced to life imprisonment 21 times and the death penalty 12 times. In 1994, he was executed at Stateville Correctional Center.
