Emilie OsmentAssociated with the Disney Channel series Hanna Montana who shot to fame alongside Miley Cyrus has had bad luck with her starring roles in recent years. His last two series all ended without accomplishing anything after a cancellation. The comedy series "Young and Hungry" openly ended in 2018 after five seasons and plans to produce a TV movie as the series finale was scrapped. The next series of Osment “Almost Family” was canceled in 2020 after poor reviews and even worse ratings after just one season.
Now Osment's sitcom return has also been in the Netflix-Series "Smart enough" finished quickly. The ten-episode first season of the comedy series was released by the streamer in October, and as response to the series has been mixed, not much has been said about it (I was unaware of its existence until to this article) and it's been six months since she gave any information about her future, it didn't take a genius to guess where things were going. But now it's an official and online portal TVLine confirmed that Netflix "Smart enough" filed. However, Osment does not have to look for a new job for long, because after a recurring role in the fifth “Young Sheldon” –She has been promoted to the main cast for the upcoming sixth season. That alone already suggested how things were going "Smart enough" stalls.
In the Netflixsitcom, Osment played snobby, intellectual aspiring writer Chelsea who, after being dumped by her boyfriend, is forced to move in with her much simpler waitress sister Claire (Olivia Macklin) in their apartment. Even Claire's handsome but not-so-shiny roommates — fitness freak Grant (Gregg Sulkin), healer Solana (Cinthya Carmona) and influencer Jayden (Michael Hsu Rosen) — despise Chelsea at first, until she falls in love with Claire's ex Grant. The first season ended on a cliffhanger when Grant was given a choice between the two sisters. Viewers will likely never know his decision.
