Jennifer Hudson has earned a few different nicknames throughout her career, but her latest, "17," is the one she proudly gave herself.
As J. Hud explained in a Thursday CBS Matinees preview of interview with co-host, Gayle King, her new moniker depicts the artist being just the 17th person to achieve EGOT status, as the winner of an Emmy, Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony Award. She won the rare title after the musical A strange loopwhich she worked on as a producer, won a Tony in June.

During the chat, Hudson talked about the moment she took the stage at the Tony Awards, only to hear the crowd remind her of the added significance of the win.
"It was a surprise," Hudson said. "I didn't quite see it coming. I went there to celebrate the cast for getting 11 nominations, and I didn't feel like I was there. Hudson posed with her impressive assortment of awards in a new photo and joked on Twitter on Wednesday that even though her 41st birthday is fast approaching, she'll "still be 17."
