The launch gap between Forza Motorsport 7 by Turn 10 Studios and Gran Turismo 7 of Polyphony Digital is almost five years old. Microsoft's PC and console exclusive title was released in October 2017, while the Sony exclusive was released two weeks ago.
In practice, that could be a significant visual advantage for Gran Turismo 7, but we know that's not the case when it comes to comparisons. The channel ElAnalistaDeBits placed the two games side by side and the result is not so obvious.
Elements such as lighting and reflection were analyzed, as well as weather conditions, asphalt textures, shadows. Game physics, vehicle models, and grandstand extras were also considered. In side-by-side comparisons, the image on the left is always Forza Motorsport 7, while the one on the right is Gran Turismo 7.
The comparison was made based on Forza Motorsport 7, launched on PC with Ultra details and Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 and surprisingly the Turn 10 Studios title holds up despite being five years old.
