Fans might actually see the release of Dr. Dre's highly anticipated album, Detox.

Photos of Dre and Snoop Dogg in the studio have apparently revealed a track listing for the project, which appears to be outlined on a whiteboard in the background. Twitter user @ranoutofmeds wrote, “If you look in the background at the new footage @SnoopDogg took with him and Dre you can see the Detox track list!! »

These photos follow an Instagram post Snoop shared on March 31 of him and Dre in the studio. "The Chronic is homecoming," Snoop wrote. From the rapper's outfit, it looks like all of the footage is from the same recording session.

Dre first announced Detox in 2002, but it never saw the light of day. Over the years, various updates have been made to the album. In 2015, the rapper and producer seemed to share the final nail in the coffin of the project: he explained on his Beats 1 radio show, The pharmacyWhy Detox never saw the light of day.

"That's something you won't hear a lot of artists say: the reason Detox didn't come out is because I didn't like it. It was not good. The record, it just wasn't good… I mean seriously, I worked really hard on it, but I didn't think I did a good enough job. I couldn't do that to my fans, I couldn't do that to myself, to be honest.

He also announced the arrival of his imminent next album, Compton: An Original Soundtrack by Dr Dre for the film of the same name. It would become his third studio album and 1999 follow-up. 2001instead of Detox.

However, there were still back and forth with the project. In 2018, Dre sparked a new wave of rumors about Detox, reportedly told ESPN reporter Chris Haynes during a Golden State Warriors practice: “I'm working on a few songs right now. We'll see. »

While rumors have abounded, it's unclear where Dre stands with the album at this point. Perhaps his performance with Snoop, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige at the Super Bowl LVI Half Time show was invigorating for the legendary producer.
