Fans were left puzzled after the pop star appeared to delete her social media account.
As of Wednesday, March 16, Spears' account cannot be found on Instagram.
The 40-year-old's Twitter account - where she has nearly 56 million followers - remains active.
The singer, however, hasn't posted on the platform since speaking out against her sister Jamie Lynn in a post shared on Jan. 15.
Fans took to Twitter to share their confusion over Spears' absence from Instagram.
"BRITNEY WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR INSTAGRAM" wrote one user.

“Britney Spears has deactivated her Instagram account. I deactivate all my social networks **. I can't live without his videos,” wrote a third person.
