That’s a solid 12-hour marathon we’re talking about – a double shift extravaganza! And when it comes to pay, things get even more interesting. Overtime typically kicks in after you work more than 40 hours in a week, with rates usually at 1.5 times your regular pay. Now, shifting gears to legal territories; are split shifts causing some raised eyebrows? In Canada, only British Columbia (BC), Yukon, and Alberta have explicit provisions for such shift shenanigans. An interesting twist in this labor law spectacle is that employees snag overtime pay for pushing past their daily or weekly hour limits; however, exceptions may apply based on specific professions or roles. So remember \u2013 stay informed about your entitlements and reach out for professional advice if needed in navigating these legal mazes!<\/p>\n
