Quizlet is an American multinational study and learning company. It was founded by Andrew Sutherland in October 2005 and went public in January 2007. Quizlet's main products include digital flashcards, matching games, hands-on e-assessments and live quizzes (similar to Wooflash or Kahoot!) . As of December 2021, the Quizlet website claimed to have over 500 million user-created flashcard sets and over 60 million active users.
Quizlet is a fantastic tool for any course, but it's especially useful if you have a course that has a lot of terms and definitions and/or a course without a textbook. Textbooks often include an online site where students can access quizzes and flashcards, among other tools, to help them assess their knowledge and study for upcoming tests/exams. Quizlet provides these same training tools and can be customized by the course instructor. Additionally, Quizlet can also be used "live" in a classroom for active participation in course material and for reviewing concepts.

I don't usually give a lot of software 5 stars, but Quizlet honestly deserves it. It helped me a lot for tests, quizzes and projects. I can connect and my flashcards are saved; I can consult them at any time. Thank you Quizlet for making my life easier.
Advantage: I love the flashcards and the matching feature that Quizlet offers. With a single tap or click, we can see the correct answer or definition of a word. It helped me a lot in school, and I was able to learn a lot thanks to this app. I have taken many Advanced Placement courses, and without this app, I would not have passed my exams.
Disadvantages: I've pondered this question for countless minutes, and I don't think I hate anything about Quizlet. This app is the very definition of perfection. She provided and helped me through so many school related things.

Advantage: Quizlet is the app/website that helps me follow my lessons easily. As I am a student, terms are inevitable. And although I love to memorize, sometimes it can be quite complicated. With the help of Quizlet, I can learn and memorize terms and concepts very easily, it's amazing. They have a kind of gamification of learning, and I think that's what makes Quizlet one of the apps/websites that can really help students get ahead of their peers. Of course, Quizlet is really famous for its flashcards. That's the best part about Quizlet! You can study your flashcards thanks to their many features: "Learn", if you are not yet very familiar with your flashcards, "Write" for identification, "Spell" to test your spelling skills, and "Test" , to test your familiarity with flashcards! They even allow you to learn while playing. Using Quizlet proved my familiarity with the terms used in my lessons.
Disadvantages: Quizlet is the perfect app/website for students! That said, so far I don't see anything in Quizlet that deserves to be considered one of its flaws.

Quizlet helped me understand how fun and important studying can be! This year, in chemistry class, I entered my terms directly into Quizlet and I immediately feel less stressed about the idea of the next test.

I have used this app for both learning and teaching vocabulary. The most effective section was the WRITING section, which had you take tests in groups of 7 words and had you repeat the words until you could produce the word without error. With that feature gone and now only available in the Learn section, the app has lost most of its academic value.
Advantage: I have used this app myself and have always asked my students to practice new language vocabulary with this app. Most of my language classes use this app to practice vocabulary exams. The best features and favorites of my students were the Flashcards themselves, the test and the writing sections. However, with the removal of the WRITING section from the main menu, I will no longer recommend this application and will look for other solutions. The WRITING section really helped the students and me memorize and internalize the words and actively produce them. With this feature gone and only available in the Learn section (now paid) the app has lost most of its appeal.
Disadvantages: The elimination of the WRITE section from the main menu. Moving this section to the Learn function was a BIG mistake (although it might make financial sense). This was perhaps the most effective section for students to actively produce language. Flashcards are normally used for recognition rather than production. I would like this application to integrate more languages for auto-reading, for example Vietnamese.
