Uptobox is an online hosting and downloading platform that allows its users to store and share data including videos. It gained popularity after the closure of the Megaupload site. Uptobox is owned by Upworld Genius, a Swiss company, and also offers a streaming service called Uptostream for users to watch videos online.
Users can upload data to Uptobox for free, but there are limitations in terms of number of uploads, amount of data uploaded per day, and data transfer speed. In February 2021, Uptobox celebrated its 10th anniversary by distributing Carrefour gift cards worth 5 euros to its customers.

Premium members have 4TB storage space while standard members have 1TB. Paid subscribers can host different types of files which are secure and can be found anytime if lost.
For downloading from the site, Uptobox offers three different offers. Non-subscribers can grab up to 2GB of files per day, free users are entitled to 5GB of downloads per day, while premium subscribers get 20GB of downloadable content per day.
