Immortality is now available on iOS and Android devices through the Netflix app.
Developed by Sam Barlow, the creator of the award-winning film Her Story, Immortality tells the story of Marissa Marcel, a (fictional) actress who directed three films (Ambrosio, Minsky and Two of Everything), none of which were released. The goal is to find out what happened to Marcel by exploring video footage and using a device similar to a Moviola.
Users with an active Netflix subscription can use the app to install the game at no additional cost. This will be the only way to play it on mobile for now, since Immortality has a temporary exclusivity with the platform of Streaming for a period which has not been made public.
Immortality is another of Netflix's bets for its gaming service, in which we have already been able to see other outstanding independent titles such as Into the Breach, Moonlighter or Spiritfarer. The company headed by Reed Hastings has also recently acquired several studios, such as Spry Fox (Cozy Grove) or Night School Studio (Oxenfree).
