But Hughes (Albert Amman), the director of the prison, refuses to obey and prepares to resist the attack. Over the course of the chapters, their motivations will be revealed, just like those of the attackers.

“The decisions Hugo makes to protect his loved ones put the lives of many people in danger,” says Amman, who, like the rest of his companions in “The Longest Night”, had the help of a psychiatrist who works in a center similar to the one in the series to prepare his character. “It helped us a lot to know how to treat patients,” says Goenaga.
