I was looking for images for a website. Images were expensive on other sites. This site is perfect for uploading images and adjusting them using Adobe Illustrator. The price is a bit high if you don't use it for commercial purposes. It limits you to 100 images per day. The resolution of the free images is excellent. The only reason it's not rated 5 stars is that you get charged whether you download or not. I see their images everywhere. Great illustrators.

I got a premium monthly subscription because they didn't have a one month option. I used some of their icons for my presentation. I followed the instructions to go to settings and unsubscribe from the premium monthly subscription. No email notification was sent. Having found issues due to no notification and no customer support phone number, I kept the online response about canceling the subscription. And in my busy life I forgot until 6 months later I got a notification from Freepik saying they can't charge my card (subscription was canceled for other reasons) . I contacted their customer support and provided the cancellation documents. Unfortunately, only the screenshot survived after 6 months. I join it. They replied that they can only refund one month and that was my problem. I kind of agree, I should have paid more attention to the warning signs. The company is all about cheating and their icons aren't really good, combined with the price it comes down to $5/icon. LOL.

Before purchasing the membership, please check their terms of service carefully. For example, images cannot be used as the main element of your design. If you use multiple images from their site in your design, they are also considered master assets. I bought the premium subscription even after reading the negative reviews here. I noticed their more detailed terms of service later that day and contacted their customer support. They were kind enough to refund me without too much trouble. I'd say they have a ton of functional and nice designs, but you have to navigate through their terms of service to make good use of the resources while still sticking to the rules. This is a great site for wonderful images and they are kind to provide them for free if you make attributions.

Even though I limited my search to FREE, almost half of the results in the FREE section redirect me to PAID content. In most cases, I get redirected to shutterstock.com in the results section that claims to be free. It's more than irritating to find something perfect and get redirected to a paying site.
