Since the dating feature uses information from your regular profile, you should fill it out as much as possible. There is no separate Facebook dating app or site, the dating feature is built into Facebook's mobile app.

Photos and other content you share via Facebook Dating do not appear on your regular Facebook profile. Conversations on Facebook Dating are also separate from your Facebook Messenger conversations. If you become Facebook friends with someone after meeting them on Facebook Dating, you can still see their dating profile.

Find out if a friend is on facebook dating

If you try to find out if someone is on Facebook Dating, you need to join Facebook Dating.

There is an option called » Secret Crush  which we will detail in the next section.

You can add people to the "secret crush". Once you add a person, they will be notified that someone has a crush on them, but they won't be notified who has a crush on them.

The Match Anywhere feature

You can use Match Anywhere in Facebook Dating to search for dating suggestions outside of your main dating location. You can add up to two additional meeting places. So your profile will show that you are looking for people in these two additional locations.

Add Stories to Facebook Dating

It is possible to Share your Instagram or Facebook stories on Facebook Dating. You can select the stories you want to add to Dating.

Watch the stories of members you have an affinity with or who are suggested to you by clicking on their Dating profile picture. You can like Dating members in response to their stories.

You can delete photos from your Facebook Dating profile at any time. To remove a photo from your Facebook Dating profile:

1. Go to your Facebook app and tap , And then Met.
2. Tap Profile.
3. At the bottom right of the photo, tap .
4. Tap Delete.

To edit or delete a prompt:

1. Go to your Facebook app and tap , And then Met.
2. Tap Profile.
3. At the bottom right of the prompt, tap .
4. Choose one of the following options:
   • To edit the prompt: Tap Edit Prompt, make your changes, and tap Save.
   • To remove the prompt: Tap Remove Prompt, then tap Remove.

Your Dating profile must have at least one photo. If your profile only has one photo, tap Add photo to select a new one, then delete the old photo.

Keep in mind that your Dating profile is separate from your Facebook profile. Deleting a photo on Dating will therefore not affect any photos you have previously shared on Facebook or Instagram.

Add your Stories

1. Go to your Facebook app and tap , And then Met.
2. Press at the top right, then General.
3. Tap Link Stories, then select the stories (Instagram or Facebook) you want to link and tap Connect.
4. Tap Done.

You may need to log in to Instagram to add stories to your dating profile. Once you are logged in, you can choose whether or not to share each story on Dating.

Add Instagram posts to Facebook Dating

You can add posts from your Instagram feed to your Facebook Dating profile. If you choose to add your Instagram posts to your Dating profile, your latest 36 Instagram photos will automatically be added there. You can add posts from Instagram whether your profile is public or private.

To add your Instagram posts to Dating:

1. Go to your Facebook app and tap , And then Met.
2. In the upper right corner, tap , then click General.
3. Then tap View your Instagram posts on your Dating profile.
4. Tap Add Instagram posts.

You can now see your Instagram posts on your Dating profile. Please note that if you choose to share your Instagram posts on your Dating profile, your matches and match suggestions will be able to see those posts even if your Instagram profile is private.

To turn off your Instagram posts from appearing on your Dating profile:

1. Go to your Facebook app and tap , And then Met.
2. In the upper right corner, tap , then click General.
3. Tap next to Show your Instagram posts on your Dating profile to turn off Instagram posts.

When you turn off the display of your Instagram posts on your Dating profile, existing and new Instagram posts will no longer appear on it. You can also select and tap Remove Instagram from Dating to remove your Instagram information from your Dating profile.

How to Block Someone on Facebook Dating 

Log in to the Facebook app on your mobile device, then:

1. Go to your Facebook app and tap , And then Met.
2. Tap Affinities, then tap the profile picture of the person you want to block.
3. Press top right.
4. Tap Block [person] on Dating, then tap Block.

To see blocked people or unblock someone on Dating. Log in to the Facebook app on your mobile device, then:

1. Go to your Facebook app and tap , And then Met.
2. Press Settings at the top right.
3. Tap General, then scroll down and tap Privacy Settings.

To unblock someone, tap Unblock next to their name.

Delete Facebook Dating

If you delete your Dating profile, you won't be able to create a new one for 7 days. To delete your Facebook Dating profile:

3. Tap General.
4. Scroll down the page and tap Delete profile.
5. Tap Delete.

If you delete your Dating profile, you will lose your Dating profile, including replies, likes, matches, and conversations.

Keep in mind that deleting conversations from your Dating profile doesn't delete them from the other person's Dating inbox. Users cannot delete sent or received messages that are in another user's mailbox.

You can delete your Facebook Dating account without deleting your Facebook account. On the other hand, deleting your Facebook account will delete your Dating profile.
